Temima Rothmel, MSW, LCSW
Temima is a licensed clinical social worker, and has been practicing in the field as an outpatient therapist for five years. Temima graduated from Rutgers University School of Social Work. While studying for her Master in Social Work, she received certification in violence against women and children, focusing on working with survivors of trauma. She utilizes several techniques to help clients grow, and is trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and sandplay therapy. Temima has worked with diverse populations and helped people with the life challenges they face. She works with people who are coping with depression, anxiety, trauma, bipolar disorder, life adjustments, relationship challenges, and grief / bereavement.
In her own words: “I believe in every individual’s strength and uniqueness. Every person experiences hardships and needs help to cope with stress and other challenges they face, such as trauma, depression, anxiety, and other life stressors. I tailor my style and techniques to help individuals in a way that meets their needs to help them grow. I come from a strength based philosophy and build on those qualities that clients possess, to overcome barriers that bring them to counseling. I am drawn to building relationships with clients and supporting them through challenging times.”
