DESCRIPTION:We are looking for volunteers to help with Mitzvah tables/projects at this year’s Community Mitzvah Days. Download the Community Mitzvah Day flyer for more information.  \nSunday\, January 20\, 2019 \nCommunity members will be participating in multiple mitzvah projects\, including Chemo Comfort Bags to benefit patients of MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper. Volunteers are needed to help out at tables to help facilitate the completion of projects. \nREGISTRATION LINK COMING SOON! \n**All attendees and volunteers are asked to please bring a non-perishable kosher food item for the JFCS Betsy & Peter Fischer Food Pantries.

DESCRIPTION:JFCS and Kellman Brown Academy are proud to present This Life Counts\, a suicide awareness and prevention program for tweens\, teens\, and parents. This in-person presentation is intended for 5th through 8th graders\, along with their parents\, friends\, and community members. An expert panel will discuss the role of depression; warning signs\, risk factors\, and stressors; protective factors that help prevent youth suicide; resources and tools for communication. \nWalk-ins are welcome but advance RSVP is appreciated.
