SUMMARY:Community Mitzvah Day
DESCRIPTION:Open to the Community – All Ages Welcome! \n \nJoin together with hundreds of community members to create meaningful projects that will benefit our neighbors in need. We will be making 1\,000 Chemo Comfort Bags (bags filled with snacks and supplies along with “get well” cards) for patients at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper. The day will also include a blood drive\, free cancer screenings by Cooper physicians\, and an opportunity to sign up for the Gift of Life Bone Marrow Registry. Snacks will be provided. Please note that advance registration is required for both the blood drive and the cancer screenings. The cost of admission is one non-perishable kosher food item per person to benefit clients of the JFCS Betsy & Peter Fischer Food Pantries. We hope to see you at this wonderful event!\n
