About two-thirds of those deaths involved synthetic opioids – primarily fentanyl. A nearly invisible poison\, fentanyl is 50 times more potent than heroin. Just two milligrams of fentanyl – an amount that could fit on the tip of a pencil – is a potentially lethal dose. \nOur South Jersey community is not immune from this crisis.
